Excellent flexibility

21. January 2021 Arthur Besseau has only recently started working at DRÄXLMAIER, but he already values his work and his team very much.

Arthur Besseau, who is responsible for Procurement in the Americas region, ensures the successful implementation of the global procurement strategy in the Americas region with his team.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
I most enjoy strategic thinking. It is a pleasure and a focus for me to consider what capabilities and what partnerships DRÄXLMAIER will need in one to five years from now in the region. This is one of my top priorities. Within Procurement, our success depends heavily on cooperation with others: Internally building a solid network with my peers is key to setting our commodity strategies and preparing the future. Externally, sourcing and partnering with the right supplier is also one of our main responsibilities. Bringing my experience to build great collaboration in the region with other organizations and other functions also gives me great satisfaction.

Your highlight at DRÄXLMAIER so far?
Our team success stories presentation was a highlight so far. Listening to the presentations gave me the opportunity to reflect on the hard work of everyone on my team. The automotive sector is a very fast paced environment and rarely do we have the time to reflect upon our successes. As an industry, we focus on lessons learned and audits, but once in a while, it is good to stop and look positively at everything we have achieved as a team.

What do you appreciate about your team?
The amount of flexibility the Procurement team in the Americas has shown is, simply put, best in class. This team has the potential and the attitude to achieve all the goals set and to build the future in collaboration with other departments. I truly appreciate the dialogue with my segment colleagues, who provide a different insight and constructive challenges. It allows us all to reflect on our visions as leaders within the DRÄXLMAIER Group.
