Climate and environmental protection

Climate protection and preservation of the environment are among the greatest challenges of our time.

As a globally active company, DRÄXLMAIER Group is affected by climate change and its consequences in many ways. We are consistently working to reduce or minimize the environmental impact of our business activities and our products in order to slow down the progression of climate change.

It's the journey that matters, not the destination

We are committed to meeting the requirements of the Paris Climate Agreement.

Consequently, we are pursuing an ambitious climate goal of 1.5 degrees by 2029. By 2029, we hope to exploit all our realizable potentials to reduce and avoid emissions.

Energy

First and foremost, we generate our own electrical energy from renewable resources.

Renewable energy sources play a key role in our efforts to reduce emissions. Therefore, we rely on renewable sources to supply our sites with electrical energy. First and foremost, we generate our own electrical energy from renewable resources. We also purchase electrical energy from renewable resources on the global electricity market, provided it meets our criteria. We focus on direct contracts (Power Purchasing Agreements, PPAs) with producers of renewable energy and on green electricity tariffs. Since 2022, our production sites have been using 100% electrical energy from renewable resources.

Employee mobility

Making your own mobility sustainable is an important lever for reducing CO2e emissions.

Through the gradual electrification of our DRÄXLMAIER fleet and the associated expansion of the charging infrastructure in several countries, we want to reach another milestone on the road to sustainable mobility.

Closed-loop economy

The circular economy is one of the most important strategies for achieving climate targets.

Among other things, it makes it possible to extend product life cycles or reduce emissions along the entire value chain. We are aware of our responsibility as a premium automotive supplier and are strongly committed to doing our part.
