In sum, our digital transformation strategy includes several programs that cover all our business processes. Special focus lies on our “Digital Core”, linked to our underlying business processes. That enables us to maintain our strong position in the market and our competitiveness.
Integrative thinking across the entire value creation process is what makes our transformation special. The combination of the SAP transformation, the upgrade of our system landscape on the store floor, the transformation in engineering through the introduction of Siemens Teamcenter and the introduction of a global purchasing platform enables us to seamlessly link and optimize our business processes. This not only increases efficiency, but also improves collaboration and transparency within the company.
Our goal: a comprehensive, globally integrated process and system landscape. To reach this, we drive – for example – one of the largest global SAP S/4HANA implementation projects. Across all locations worldwide, at around 60 plants in 20 countries. We now have the unique opportunity of optimizing all the areas of the company – namely people, organization, processes, data and systems – through digital business transformation. For us, digitization is not an end in itself, but rather an inevitable basic requirement to respond to the growing product diversity and complexity in our industry
