DRÄXLMAIER Landau opens new training workshop

17. November 2023 The automotive supplier is training young people in nine different professions in the new premises.

For the new training year, the DRÄXLMAIER Group has significantly expanded vocational training at the Landau location. Since September, twelve trainees have been learning one of four different professions in a completely newly created training area. A further twelve trainees are to be added as early as 2024. In total, it will be possible to learn one of nine professions in Landau in the future.

Optimally equipped with personnel and technology
“The DRÄXLMAIER Group continually invests in the quality of vocational training – not only at the headquarters in Vilsbiburg, but also at numerous German and international locations,” emphasizes Barbara Geber, head of international training. Patrick Fraunhofer and Bernhard Niklas, two experienced trainers, are taking over the supervision of the new training workshop. From now on, the entire basic training can be carried out on site on more than 300 square meters. In addition to a theory room and a room for basic machine training in the field of machining, the training area also houses robot training cells and equipment for high-voltage training. “The new training area is optimally equipped in terms of both personnel and technology. The trainees therefore receive on-site training to the highest standards. Thanks to the new premises, we expect the number of trainees in Landau to increase compared to previous years,” explains Daniel Greifeneder, responsible for training in Germany.

Comprehensive further training offers for all employees
DRÄXLMAIER also uses the training workshop for extensive qualifications for employees. In the future, employees in Landau will be able to receive further training in numerous fields of activity, for example in the areas of robotics, control technology and electropneumatics, in the rooms of the training workshop. “The new training workshop is an important investment for training and further education at the Landau location. We are proud to have this valuable facility with us,” says site manager Georg Wachtmeister.
