Wael’s passion: Electricity
Wael is a trainer in Tunisia and has been working at DRÄXLMAIER since 2019
What career steps have you already taken at DRÄXLMAIER?
I am a mechatronics engineer and worked as a maintenance manager in another company. In 2019, I finally joined DRÄXLMAIER in Tunisia as a vocational trainer. I supervise the trainees here in the dual education system, which consists of 50% school and 50% work in the company. My main tasks are to prepare and instruct the trainees in practical and theoretical exercises, to familiarize them with new technical topics and to provide technical training for the employees.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
First and foremost the teamwork: I work with a very professional team. Together with my colleagues, I really enjoy passing on knowledge to the trainees. We also have to keep up to date with new technologies so that we can pass them on to the future specialists quickly and effectively. To this end, we organize various projects within the company or special training courses for employees from different areas.
In your opinion, what makes dual education in Tunisia special?
In my opinion, dual education in Tunisia is one of the best forms of traineeship. The tailor-made model guarantees the highest quality of training in the industrial sector. In addition, the dual system enables trainees to integrate well into working life at an early stage.
What was your best experience in the dual education program?
Working in vocational training is indeed a great experience for me. Graduation is one of the best days for me. Every single one of our trainees has worked hard up to this day, learned a lot and therefore deserves to finally go from trainee to colleague at DRÄXLMAIER.
Do you have any hobbies, passions, and talents you would like to tell us about?
My work is my passion, I learn a lot and am constantly researching automation or technological innovations around the world. I am particularly fascinated by electricity, which is why I enjoy solving electronics problems in my spare time or designing my own installations at home or for my friends. On the other hand, I enjoy being out in nature and camping at beautiful places together with my friends.
