Guo Wenjing, Head of Wire Harness R&D in Shenyang, China has been working at DRÄXLMAIER since 2013

What are your responsibilities at DRÄXLMAIER?

I lead one of the teams in the R&D department in China – the Wiring Harness R&D team. I started my career at DRÄXLMAIER twelve years ago and was one of the first to help build this area from the ground up. Today, I manage a team of around 50 engineers.

Our main responsibilities include creating technical documentation, bills of materials, and production drawings for both low- and high-voltage wiring harness projects. We also maintain and update the standard time catalog and work closely with the plants to resolve technical questions from production.

What do you enjoy most about your work?

What I value most is working with my team – a group of highly skilled professionals. Our work supports a project from the early concept phase all the way to series production. We constantly face new challenges, which we tackle together. I’m proud of how professionally and passionately my team contributes its expertise at every stage.

Do you have any hobbies, passions, or talents you'd like to share?

I love traveling – even the planning part excites me! Trying new cuisines, discovering different cultures, and meeting interesting people always inspires me. For me, traveling means staying open-minded, thinking flexibly, and handling unexpected situations with confidence. Every trip enriches me and gives me fresh energy for my work.

What has been the most valuable experience during your time at DRÄXLMAIER?

The most important insight for me is to stay open and positive. At an international company like DRÄXLMAIER, I work with colleagues from many different cultural backgrounds. Their perspectives often inspire me to think in new ways and find better solutions. In a constantly changing world, a positive mindset is key to staying adaptable and embracing challenges.
