As a Team Leader in Indirect Procurement for IT Telecommunications, Hardware, Software, and a wide range of services, I have the privilege of overseeing a dynamic and multifaceted role.
My responsibilities include developing strategic procurement plans, managing budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities, leading the procurement team, collaborating with internal departments, resolving issues, and staying up to date with market trends and regulatory changes.
My work also involves identifying and evaluating reliable suppliers, negotiating favorable contracts, and managing the procurement of essential IT equipment, software, and services such as training, laboratory analysis, and consulting.
Close collaboration with various departments is key to understanding their needs and aligning our procurement activities with the organization’s overall goals.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is leading a dedicated team. I provide guidance and support to ensure we achieve our goals efficiently and effectively.
I also enjoy the continuous learning aspect of my role. The ever-evolving nature of procurement means there’s always something new to discover — whether it’s emerging market trends or advanced technologies. This keeps me engaged and excited about what lies ahead.
Another highlight of my job is meeting new people. Building relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and colleagues from different departments enriches my professional life and broadens my perspective. Every interaction is a chance to learn something new and contribute to our shared goals.
What are your favorite hobbies or interests?
I have a few hobbies that I’m truly passionate about. One of my greatest joys is traveling. I love the thrill of discovering new places, experiencing different cultures, and meeting new people. There’s always something new to explore, and each journey brings unique memories and valuable learning experiences.
Another passion of mine is reading. Whether it’s diving into a captivating novel, exploring insightful non-fiction, or staying up to date with the latest industry trends, reading allows me to continuously learn and grow. It’s a wonderful way to relax and broaden my horizons.
Which of your qualities are you particularly proud of?
I am particularly proud of my ability to strike a balance between calmness and persistence. This quality allows me to navigate challenging situations with a steady hand while staying focused on achieving our goals. It helps me maintain a positive and composed mindset, even in the face of obstacles.
I also take pride in my ability to reflect on experiences and my eagerness to learn. I’m always open to feedback and new ideas, which enables me to continuously improve and adapt to the ever-evolving landscape of our industry.
