Sustainability report published

08. September 2021 DRÄXLMAIER Group informs about its recent sustainability activities.

The DRÄXLMAIER Group takes responsibility for a future worth living. What it means for the company to reconcile entrepreneurial success with social and ecological aspects can now be read in the Sustainability Report 2020. The report was compiled based on the international reporting standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), which help companies to account for their economic, ecological and social impact.

Protecting the climate, respecting human rights and securing a future worth living for future generations – all this requires a joint effort. "Once again, we need to focus on taking responsibility for each other. This attitude is nothing new for a family-owned company like DRÄXLMAIER: It is part of our corporate culture that is founded on a system of values that have always been the driving force behind our actions", said Fritz Dräxlmaier, chairman of the board.

Based on this understanding, the principles of sustainability must be integrated even more strongly in all areas and processes of the DRÄXLMAIER Group. "Our sustainability report shows where we stand in terms of sustainability, what we have planned for the future and how we intend to achieve it", said Daniel Ostner, head of Corporate Sustainability.

The report also provides numerous examples of the power that a culture of sustainability can unleash, as it is already practiced at DRÄXLMAIER today. For example, Germany's largest interconnected photovoltaic system with connected charging infrastructure is located at the DRÄXLMAIER headquarters in Vilsbiburg. The self-generated green electricity flows directly into the batteries of the e-vehicles parked there and is also used for the site's power supply. The company also follows a clear philosophy for the energy supply of its other locations and consistently uses renewable energies.

All this is part of the DRÄXLMAIER sustainability strategy, which consists of three pillars: "Climate and environmental Protection", "Social Responsibility" and "Sustainable Products". In order to continue to make the company's actions transparent, DRÄXLMAIER will continue to document its year-by-year progress in an annual sustainability report.
