DRÄXLMAIER convinces with climate commitment

14. February 2022 The DRÄXLMAIER Group is one of the 130 companies in Germany with excellent achievements for the climate.

In a special issue, the German news magazine Focus has listed 130 German companies with excellent achievements in climate commitment - including the DRÄXLMAIER Group. DRÄXLMAIER ranks fourth in the category automotive and suppliers in the top list of the German economy. This makes DRÄXLMAIER one of the companies in Germany that, according to the Burda publishing house and the "For Our Planet" program, stand out particularly in their respective industries due to their climate and environmental protection efforts.

The top list evaluates the company's current status in terms of its past and present climate commitment as well as its defined goals and plans for the future. The data for the assessment was collected in an extensive process, including a high-standard online survey. The companies evaluated were analyzed by sustainability experts on the basis of selected criteria and benchmarks.

"Sustainability must be lived."

According to Daniel Ostner, Head of Sustainability Management at the DRÄXLMAIER Group, companies are intensely challenged when it comes to climate commitment: "Sustainability must be lived. In addition to emissions monitoring, the conservation of resources and the use of CO2-neutral energy, it is also important to train employees and raise their awareness. This requires enormous financial and human resources."

Prof. Dr. Jörg Elsenbach, responsible for Group Governance at the DRÄXLMAIER Group, explains with regard to future developments: "Sustainability is considered an essential Unique Selling Point (USP) of the future and will become even more important in every company."

"We are very pleased to receive this award. It shows that with a culture of sustainability, we as a company are taking responsibility for a future worth living," explains Olivier Dubois, Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at DRÄXLMAIER.

The sustainability report of the DRÄXLMAIER Group provides detailed information on how the company reconciles economic success with social and ecological aspects.
