VW Group Award for DRÄXLMAIER
The automobile supplier DRÄXLMAIER has again received the award from the VW Group as one of its top international suppliers. A total of 19 suppliers received the award for special achievements and innovation. DRÄXLMAIER received the award for the second time in a row.
The automobile supplier from Vilsbiburg was successful with the development and production of an overall battery system for the first fully electrically operated Porsche sports car in as early as 2017. This year, DRÄXLMAIER was pleased to receive the award again for its performance, this time in the field of sustainability: The Chairman of Porsche AG Oliver Blume and the VW Purchasing Director Ralf Brandstätter presented the VW Group Award in the Sustainability Category to Robert Suvak, who is responsible for Sales Volkswagen at DRÄXLMAIER.
„Receiving this award again backs us up in our work. With that, we have finally proven ourselves to our long-standing customer the VW Group as a strong partner in the area of sustainability”, said Suvak.
„We can meet our partners at eye level, because it is only together that we will be able to master the changes in our industry“, said the VW Purchasing Director Ralf Brandstetter at the award ceremony at the Kraftwerk in Berlin. The VW Group CEO Dr. Herbert Diess thanked the suppliers for their commitment and cooperation in the past year and underlined the relevance of a close partnership with the suppliers in the light of the changes in the automobile industry: “We need a powerful, reliable partner at our side, as the transformation in our industry is gaining momentum”, said Diess.
