Dräxlmaier Employees Donate to Vilsbiburg Hospice Association

12. December 2013 Vilsbiburg, 12. December 2013 – The employees of the Dräxlmaier Group made a donation today to the Vilsbiburg Hospice Association. The charity society will use this donation for, among other things, the acquisition of a multifunctional wheelchair for the use of hospice residents with severe health limitations.

During the presentation of the donation on December 12, Barbara Gilch, Chairman of the Vilsbiburg Hospice Association, expressed her gratitude for the support. “We are very grateful that the employees of the Dräxlmaier Group support us so generously every year.” Gilch explained why the donation was so urgently needed: “We intend to use the donation to invest in a multifunctional wheelchair with head support, so that even those residents with severe limitations can have better mobility, and the caregivers’ loads are lightened.”

Gertraud Ertl, organizer of the donation program, is also happy with the response. “The overwhelming enthusiasm of the employees means that we were able to more than double last year’s donation,” said Ertl, honorary hospice worker and manager of personnel controlling at the Dräxlmaier Group, during the presentation. “The 7,200 Euro is an amount that can really make a difference.”

This was the fourth year that Ertl has organized a donation program for the hospice association, which is funded only by donations. This year’s donation came about as the result of a raffle, as well as an auction of a wide variety of items donated by local companies. “I would like to thank the companies that donated prizes, and naturally all the Dräxlmaier employees, for their great generosity,” said Ertl.
