The DRÄXLMAIER Group supports the Vilsbiburg Fire Department with 30,000 euros

26. October 2023 DRÄXLMAIER is subsidizing the purchase of a mobile large-scale fan for the rapid removal of smoke and heat from fire objects.

The DRÄXLMAIER Group is supporting the Vilsbiburg Volunteer Fire Department with a donation of 30,000 euros to purchase a large-capacity fan. This device is an indispensable firefighting tool, especially in large halls and underground car parks. “The donation is a great help for us in order to effectively fight fires in large buildings and to keep damage from the smoke as low as possible,” says fire brigade commander Florian Grimm.

Thanks to the large fan, the fire brigade is optimally equipped even in large buildings
Large buildings, such as halls or underground car parks, cannot be freed of toxic fire smoke and pyrolysis gases using conventional equipment. The Vilsbiburg fire department has therefore purchased a mobile large-scale fan - financed through the annual fundraising and the donation from the DRÄXLMAIER Group. “We are very grateful that DRÄXLMAIER is supporting us with this important purchase,” said Commander Grimm. The cost of large-scale mobile fans is very high, so these devices are rare and benefit the entire region. From now on, wherever there is a fire in larger buildings in the fire department's catchment area, the Vilsbiburg Volunteer Fire Department can remove smoke and toxic gases as quickly as possible. “With the new large fan, we are now optimally equipped for industrial halls or underground car parks,” explained Grimm when handing over the donation.

Volunteer fire department “of inestimable importance for the region”
First Mayor Sibylle Entwistle pointed out: “The new large-scale fan of the volunteer fire department of Vilsbiburg could be financed purely from donations. At this point I would like to thank all donors for this project. The commitment of the DRÄXLMAIER Group deserves special mention here. It shows the company’s close connection to its hometown, as well as the appreciation for our volunteer fire brigades, who can rely on the best possible equipment in the event of an emergency.”

Olivier Dubois, responsible for marketing and corporate communications at DRÄXLMAIER, handed over the company's donation to the fire department and emphasized: “The volunteer fire department is of inestimable importance for the region. As a family business, it is particularly important to us to support the day-to-day efforts of our fire brigade comrades.”
