Emily Brown began her career at the DRӒXLMAIER plant site in Duncan, S.C., in 2018 after graduating from the University of South Carolina Upstate. In her current role as quality assurance coordinator, she combines her analytical and organizational skills to coordinate customer feedback and implement solutions to our production operations.

What does your job position at DRÄXLMAIER entail?

I have the opportunity to connect and assist our customers domestically and internationally. In addition, I collaborate with quality engineers to create and submit reports that track and ensure our customers receive premium products.

What are the necessary steps to create an effective quality report?

We complete a process called the "Eight Ds." Its purpose is to identify, correct and eliminate recurring topics in the Quality department. This process helps us assist engineers and come up with different solutions for all the products that we have.

What did you join DRÄXLMAIER?

When I was in school to get my business degree, one of the main things I was looking for in a company was a place to grow. This is exactly what I found here at DRÄXLMAIERThis is a great company with lots of job opportunities.

In your role, what are a few crucial skills that help you succeed?

Communication, organization and agility. Since I keep up with a lot of the costs, being able to find the root of a quality topic makes my job excititng. I enjoy challenges, which is what my job presents most of the time. Working with others to improve the relationship with our customers is what I love most about role.  

How do you impact our present and future operations?

One of the main things I do is help engineers keep up with cost saving projects. I keep up with the current costs and compare them to the costs we had a year ago. Seeing several cost saving projects come to life makes me feel like I'm making a difference in the company.
