In 1998, the German car supplier DRÄXLMAIER expanded to the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, three sites have been established.
The site in Solihull
This site was opened in 2011 and is situated on Lode Lane in Solihull and is part of the customer site. The site is in the heart of the West Midlands which has a rich automotive history and is situated 8 miles from Birmingham City Centre.
The facility supports the system assembly process for car interiors, assembling instrument panels and centre floor consoles in a Just in Time and Just in Sequence environment. We ship directly into the customer who are a prestigious luxury car manufacturer.
We employ approximately four hundred people in Solihull (inclusive of temporary labour) over a 3 shift rotation, operating 24/5.

The site in Tamworth
The Tamworth site is the logistics hub for DAU and receives material from suppliers for Solihull & Tamworth Plants, this runs on a 3-shift operation for receiving and shipping.
It was purchased for an increase in our customers portfolio and produces Instrument Panels and Centre Floor Consoles Just in Time and Sequence on a day shift.
The facility is situated on the Birch Coppice Business Park which is 18 miles from our customer. The business park hosts a number of other automotive and retail operations.
The site was opened in 2014 and is also home to the DAU Draexlmaier Automotive UK Ltd Head Office.

Sales & Project office in Stoneleigh
In Building 500, Suite E, Abbey Park in Stoneleigh is our Sales & Project offices. It has been opened in 2001.
