15. July 2014 – Satu Mare takes the title in the sixth international football World Cup of the DRÄXLMAIER Group in Vilsbiburg
Vilsbiburg (Germany), July 14, 2014 – With great fighting spirit, the title defender Satu Mare won the exciting final game against the DRÄXLMAIER football team from Poland on Saturday, on the playing field of the TSV Vilsbiburg. The final score was 4:0. "We are very happy and proud to have the win," said team captain Zsolt Antal Maiorciac, who works in Satu Mare for the DRÄXLMAIER Group. The intense two-year preparation phase with weekly training sessions paid off. "But at least as important in winning the title were the fans who traveled with us," Maiorciac said, thanking them for their great support.
"We would like to heartily congratulate the plant team from Satu Mare and their fans on the tournament win," said Karl Wallner, sponsor of the company world cup and Executive Director for Production and Logistics at the DRÄXLMAIER Group. Team spirit is not only put into action during working hours, but also after work on the soccer fields. This achievement shows great solidarity, as well as an unparalleled sporting spirit.

The constantly growing number of teams that participate, the great amount of excitement and appreciation on the part of all the players and fans, clearly shows the family spirit that the employees of the DRÄXLMAIER Group feel, said Dräxlmaier.
Around 1,000 players, fans and guests watched the DRÄXLMAIER Football World Cup 2014" in Vilsbiburg on Saturday. In the sixth repeat of the tradition-rich company world cup, there were 16 teams from 13 countries participating. Nine teams were selections from countries or regions: England, China, Poland, Hungary, Moldova, Macedonia, Serbia and "Americas" (Nicaragua, Mexico and USA). The third place after the tournament winner Satu Mare and second-place winner Poland was Tunisia, in an 11-meter shot against Serbia.
The team from Satu Mare, Romania, had already taken the title in 2012, 2008 and 2006 in the international football tournament for the DRÄXLMAIER Group. In 2010, the local team from the company headquarters in Vilsbiburg took the win. The company world cup premiered in 2004; at that time, the plant team from Pitesti, also in Romania, won. All the players and fans are looking forward to the continuation of the "DRÄXLMAIER WM."
