The Bavarian State Minister of Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology and Deputy Prime Minister Ilse Aigner today gained a personal impression of the DRÄXLMAIER Group at the corporate headquarters in Vilsbiburg. The CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board Fritz Dräxlmaier welcomed the State Minister, who learned about the challenges faced by DRÄXLMAIER as a leading automobile supplier and one of the largest employers in the region.
Impressed by the presentation of innovative concepts and products, the State Minister Aigner emphasized that: "Organizations such as DRÄXLMAIER, that are taking an active part in shaping our future, are justifying the good reputation of the technology site in Bavaria."
The State Minister was also welcomed to DRXÄLMAIER by Executive Board Member HR Roland Polte, the CTO Dr. Martin Gall and Prof. Jörg Markus Elsenbach, who is responsible for Corporate Business Modeling. "We are very pleased to be able to give the State Minister a personal view of the innovations in the premium automobile industry", said Gall, who emphasized that the innovations driver DRÄXLMAIER filed 150 patent applications last year alone.
Aigner gained an inside view of different corporate areas and learned that DRÄXLMAIER develops and produces complex wiring harness systems, central electrical and electronic parts, exclusive interiors and storage systems for over 100 vehicle models in the premium automobile industry and that the products are delivered just-in-sequence and just-in-time to the assembly lines of the automobile manufacturers.
Polte presented the importance of training and education at DRXÄLMAIER. He pointed out that as one of the top 100 automobile suppliers, that was distinguished again as a top automotive employer in 2016, DRÄXLMAIER not only attaches great important to continually improving the working environment, but also to continual investment in employee development. "Enhancing the loyalty of specialists and executives, mainly by offering diversified work, personal development opportunities and attractive working conditions, is of major importance to DRÄXLMAIER", said Polte. Aigner was also interested in the professional training offered by the DRÄXLMAIER Group. The organization has been qualifying young people in Germany for over forty years. Four years ago, the family-owned corporation, that operates in over 20 countries, began setting up professional training at the international sites. Young qualified employees receive training in the dual system based on the German role model. With great success: Around 450 young adults are currently learning a profession at twelve international DRÄXLMAIER sites.
DRÄXLMAIER is also taking an active part in shaping the future of automobile innovations in development, giving vehicles a distinctive character. Gall explained which interior and electrical systems solutions DRÄXLMAIER offers for premium vehicles. The guests were also highly interested in the future-oriented fields of autonomous driving and electro-mobility, for which DRÄXLMAIER also develops and produces modern energy storage systems and high-voltage wiring harnesses.
Aigner promised continued support for innovation leaders and major employers such as the DRÄXLMAIER Group by providing optimal political conditions.
