28. March 2018 The DRÄXLMAIER Excellence Award decorated employees for outstanding achievements.

Vilsbiburg. Music, show and a little glamour – with the presentation of the Excellence Awards, the automobile supplier DRÄXLMAIER decorated employees who made outstanding contributions to the company. For that occasion, more than 200 invited guests came to the Bernlochner Stadtsäle in Landshut, including the nominees in the four categories of Market and Customer Orientation, Leadership, Innovation and Sustainability.

„We must make it our goal to strive for excellence in our daily work“, said the Vice Chairman of the DRÄXLMAIER Group Franz Haslinger in his welcome speech. “The winners of today’s Excellence Awards have impressed us with their ideas and consistent implementation. They are outstanding examples of operational excellence.”

Successful vehicle projects, innovative technologies for smart, sustainable materials, creative concepts for greater customer satisfaction: Many employees and executives in the DRÄXLMAIER Group have distinguished themselves through their outstanding achievements. A jury of experts selected three finalists in each category from a large number of recommendations.

 At the festive gala, the nominees waited in suspense for the award of the coveted prizes. The names of the winners selected by the jury, concealed in tightly sealed envelopes, remained a secret right up to the moment the winners finally accepted their award on stage.

Impressive concepts, excellent implementation
Finally, the vehicle project team that was given an exceptional testimony by the customer, and the Site Manager of a DRÄXLMAIER site in Tunisia heard „And the winner is…”.

And awards were also presented to two teams that developed new technologies for the world market leader of leather-laminated interiors in the premium segment, DRÄXLMAIER, and took the technologies right up to serial production: The thin-wall foaming method that improves the manufacture of interior parts in the vehicle and an innovative lamination method that makes leather processing much more resource-friendly.

It was the third presentation of the Excellence Awards by the DRÄXLMAIER Group. With these internal prizes, the automobile supplier honors employees and teams for their excellent achievements every two years.
