The DRÄXLMAIER Group is investing in a new location in Leipzig, Germany, where high-voltage battery systems for a premium SUV are manufactured. The topping-out ceremony for the ultra-modern plant was celebrated in 2020 together with the Prime Minister of the Free State of Saxony Michael Kretschmer, the First Mayor of the City of Leipzig Torsten Bonew and other guests from business and politics. With the new battery plant, DRÄXLMAIER is strengthening its presence in Leipzig.

In 2021 Vice Chairman Stefan Brandl assumes the role of CEO in addition to his current responsibilities. He manages the operational business together with Jan Reblin, who assumed the position of CEO in October 2022. 

In 2022, Jaguar Land Rover honors the DRÄXLMAIER Group with the Supplier Excellence Award for outstanding performance as a supplier. The company also wins the Procurement Excellence Award, which is presented by the renowned Federal Association of Materials Management, Purchasing and Logistics e.V. (BME). In 2022 and 2023, the commitment to environmental and climate protection is honored twice in a row with the “Top Climate Commitment” award from the news magazine Focus. In 2023 DRÄXLMAIER is again recognized as a top employer by the Top Employers Institute.

On May 8, 2023, the DRÄXLMAIER Group celebrates its 65th anniversary. The company was founded on May 8, 1958 by Lisa and Fritz Dräxlmaier Senior.
